Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Barn Manager to oversee daily operations of a busy riding school. This vital role involves managing team members, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of horses and staff alike. The Barn Manager will lead a team, coordinate maintenance activities, and uphold the highest standards of animal care and productivity. Responsibilities Supervise daily activities, including livestock management, feeding, and health monitoring Operate and maintain machinery such as tractors, and power tools with precision and safety awareness Oversee animals, ensuring proper handling, nutrition, and welfare of livestock including horses or other animals Implement safety standards across all operations, including heavy lifting protocols and manual handling procedures Manage inventory of tools, supplies, feed, and maintenance parts; coordinate procurement as needed Lead training sessions for staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, and animal care best practices Mucking Stalls Qualifications Proven supervising experience in farm or agricultural settings with a focus on livestock Strong horsemanship knowledge Experience operating heavy machinery such as tractors Knowledge of animal care experience Familiarity with safety standards related to outdoor work environments and heavy equipment operation Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently Basic math skills for record keeping and inventory management Excellent communication skills with the ability to train team members effectively Join us to lead a passionate team dedicated to sustainable barn practices while advancing your career in horsemanship and instruction.
