Maintain and calibrate farming and aquaculture equipment, including pumps, plumbing systems, boats, and mechanical tools to ensure optimal operation. Assist with fish hatchery activities such as fish handling, dissection for research purposes, and hatchery maintenance to support healthy fish populations. Implement safety protocols during all outdoor activities, including heavy lifting, boat handling, equipment operation, and fieldwork to ensure a safe working environment. Identify wildlife species and invasive plants in the field to support conservation efforts and habitat management plans. Support compliance with environmental laws by documenting data accurately and adhering to regulatory standards related to farming and aquaculture practices. Experience Prior experience in farming or agricultural settings with outdoor work exposure is highly desirable. Knowledge of aquaculture practices, fish care techniques, or fish hatchery operations is a strong plus. Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping or data analysis enhances your ability to contribute effectively. Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance—including plumbing repairs—and mechanical knowledge is beneficial. Ability to perform biological sampling procedures such as dissection or specimen collection with attention to detail.
