Full Job Description Job Description SHIFT:
6:00am to 2:30pm +OT hours may vary New Poultry Inspection System (NPIS) certificate on preferred or ability to successfully pass NPIS test. Must be able to visually examine chicken and remove birds from the line not meeting the quality criteria. Must have demonstrated knowledge of chicken defects/diseases and attention to detail to maintain and improve bird quality. Must have knowledge of food safety guidelines to ensure compliance with Company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements. Report regularly and on time to work as well as work all required hours, including overtime and weekends as scheduled. Must be able to lift, reach, handle, perform cervical flexion/extension, rotate, stand, walk, balance and stoop. Sort livers and gizzards. Able to trim carcasses with a knife Qualifications Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8-10hrs) on concrete/metal grate floor. Must be able to perform repetitive over shoulder reaching, torso twisting, grasping, pushing and pulling. Follow the established Animal Welfare Program guidelines and procedures. Rotate through various positions on Evisceration line. Understand and follow established rules and procedures as well as accept constructive feedback. Have a good safety record. Must be able to use small, hand-held tool (i.e., knife, scissors) properly.
