Experience 2 - 4 years Save Job LinkedIn Copy URL Email Facebook BadgerLand Foundation is seeking a Land Stewardship and Restoration Ecologist to help plan and implement ecological restoration and ongoing stewardship of around 500 acres of diverse conservation land. Approximately 75% of the position involves hands-on field work, including prescribed fire, invasive species control, woody vegetation management, mowing, native seed collection and establishment, ecological monitoring, and other stewardship activities, while 25% involves planning, coordination, research, documentation, and other desk-based work. This role is intended for someone who can independently assess conditions, determine appropriate management actions, and carry projects from planning through implementation. The position coordinates contractors, seasonal employees, interns, and volunteers and requires someone who enjoys substantial outdoor, physical work while also being comfortable with strategic planning, research, writing, and collaboration.
