Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps by providing supervision of and care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the campers assigned to you.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Help run camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence Complete staff training and follow all camp policies Stay physically and spiritually fit to minister Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ Create a cabin environment that is physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially safe for all campers under your care. Supervise campers effectively. Be responsible for the conduct of your campers and conduct behavior management based on training Lead cabin bible studies Have an intentional one-on-one conversation with each camper under your care each week Attend all camp activities and meals Attend all staff meetings Complete all paperwork weekly Support Community Worship as assigned Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bathrooms, and buildings to meet standards of excellence Other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)
POSITION TYPE
Seasonal HOUSING:
Provided throughout contract dates
MEALS:
Provided throughout contract dates whenever campers or guests are being served
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ Knowledge of and love for God's Word Love for kids and adults and the ability to communicate with them Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours, sleeping in cabins with campers and lifting at times. Ability to work in various weather climates and conditions. Willing and teachable attitude Team-based mindset Experience in teaching kids Willingness to participate in camp activities Minimum age 18 years old High School Diploma or equivalent
