Job Description

Summary The Starters will provide all players or non-playing guests with an anticipated, well-informed and enthusiastic greeting. They will assist the Golf Professional in maintaining orderly tee time starts, enforcing golf dress code and monitoring golf course etiquette. Have thorough knowledge of the golf course and policies so as to appropriately answer inquiries from guest about facility and services. Helping keep the course clean and helping create an enjoyable golf experience for all guests. Provides the highest possible level of customer service through continual adherence and support of the mission statement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greeting every golfer prior to the start of their round. Assure that all golfers have checked in at the golf shop. Providing information regarding history of the facility, course information, and rules. Assist with the dress code policy. Monitoring the pace of play. Assisting the Tournament Director with group events. Wellbeing Qualifications Experience & Education:
High school education required Prior hospitality experience preferred At least one-year customer service experience preferred Knowledge of the game of golf preferred
Job Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in The United States Must be able to read, write and speak English Must be able to work well under pressure Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written Must be highly detailed orientated Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Must have excellent listening skills Must possesses excellent communication skills Must be professional in appearance and demeanor Must always ensure a teamwork environment Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and Colleagues Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests Colleagues who are hired at Wild Dunes Resort will be verified through the federal E-Verify system.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, sun & heat); Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces; Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs; Must be able to bend, squat, & twist on an occasional basis Must be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; and fine manipulation occasionally.
