We are seeking a Landscape Crew Foreman who is self-motivated, dependable, loyal, knowledgeable and a leader with good character. In addition to leadership skills, our Landscape Foreman must have excellent problem-solving skills, people skills, and communication skills. Our Foreman must hold a valid driver's license, have a good driving record, and have the experience and ability to drive a crew truck while pulling a work trailer. Our Foreman must be hardworking and enjoy working alongside his/her team. They will train, lead, and ensure a positive work environment and a good work ethic. Responsibilities:
(Including but not limited to)
- Communicate effectively with team members, managers, and clients, as needed.
- Read and follow landscape plans. Execute effectively. Be detailed. Teach your team to be detailed.
- Lead, train, motivate, problem solve, carry-out company expectations, follow company guidelines and company policies & procedures, as well as ensure that the crew members understand and follow the expectations, guidelines, and policies & procedures.
- Drive a crew truck/trailer; work on each jobsite alongside the landscape crew. Handle any conflict or concern and report each issue to the manager immediately.
- Operate and maintain landscape equipment (including truck/trailer); report equipment maintenance issues to the manager; be responsible for equipment inventory; Ensure that your team follows safety procedures and is properly trained to operate said equipment.
- Follow a daily schedule. Delegate work. Oversee each job to finish on time while upholding company standards.
- Complete daily reports and documentation, as needed. Possess proficiency in the use of digital devices (smartphone; ipad; software).
- Monitor and report crews' daily in/out time; time on the job; travel time; break and lunch time.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Must have at least 1 year of professional landscape experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
- Must have experience driving and backing up a work truck and trailer combination.
- Must be proficient in operating commercial landscape and lawn equipment safely. Be willing to train others.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs consistently.
- Must be able to turn, twist, bend, knell, stand, and walk freely for 10+ hours a day in Florida weather.
- Must be willing to work overtime with some Saturday work required.
Regular operating days:
Mon-Fri.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have transportation to and from the field shop.
