About the Role Design With Nature is looking for an experienced, hands-on Landscape Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of our landscape operations. This position is responsible for organizing crews, coordinating projects, making sure people and equipment are ready for the work ahead, maintaining quality and safety standards, and solving field problems before they become bigger problems. This is not a desk-only management role. The right person will be comfortable leading people, visiting jobsites, operating around landscape and construction equipment, coaching crew leaders, and stepping in with technical support when needed. What You'll Do Plan, organize, and coordinate daily assignments for multiple landscape crews. Review work orders, project priorities, plans, and expectations with foremen and crew leaders before work begins. Ensure crews have the labor, tools, equipment, plants, bulk materials, and other resources needed to work efficiently. Look ahead to upcoming projects and coordinate staging of materials and equipment. Oversee landscape installation, maintenance, drainage, grading, hardscape, and related field work from mobilization through completion. Monitor productivity, workmanship, jobsite organization, and adherence to company standards and best management practices. Conduct site visits to evaluate project requirements, field conditions, quality, and corrective work. Provide hands-on technical support for complex installations, grading, equipment operation, and field problem-solving when needed. Partner with Landscape Design/Sales on project handoffs, constructability, technical questions, and changing field conditions. Address field-related customer concerns professionally and follow corrective work through completion. Enforce safe work practices and reinforce a strong safety culture. Train, coach, and develop foremen, crew leaders, and landscape technicians while holding the team accountable for attendance, quality, productivity, equipment care, and teamwork. What We're Looking For Proven experience leading landscape crews, field operations, or a comparable hands-on service or construction operation. Strong working knowledge of landscape installation and maintenance practices, plant material, drainage, grading, and hardscape work. Experience organizing multiple crews, projects, equipment, and materials while adjusting priorities as field conditions change. Comfort with landscape and excavation equipment such as skid steers, excavators, stump grinders, and related machinery. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements. Applicable pesticide/herbicide or equipment certifications are a plus and may be required when performing regulated work. Schedule & Compensation $30.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience, leadership ability, and technical landscape knowledge. This is a full-time hourly position. Our standard schedule is four 10-hour workdays. Overtime may be available or required during the busy season depending on workload and operational needs.
