About the Role White House Nursery is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day people, priorities, and operating flow of our nursery. This position coordinates production support, maintenance, facilities, equipment, and delivery so work moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This is first and foremost a people and operations leadership role. You should have a solid understanding of nursery or greenhouse growing practices and be comfortable taking responsibility for growing activities as needed, while also leading the people and operational systems that support production. You need to be able to organize people, create accountability, solve problems, and keep multiple parts of a hands-on operation moving together. Nursery or horticulture experience is strongly preferred, and practical mechanical ability is a significant advantage. Compensation

• $31-$38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Full-time, hourly position What You'll Do
• Plan, organize, and coordinate daily work across production support, maintenance, and delivery.
• Set clear priorities, assign work, monitor progress, and adjust labor as needs change.
• Lead employees with clear expectations for attendance, productivity, quality, safety, equipment care, and follow-through.
• Work closely with the Grower to make sure production priorities receive the labor and logistical support they need while preserving the Grower's technical responsibility for crop decisions.
• Look ahead to seasonal and weekly needs so labor, materials, carts, racks, vehicles, equipment, and work areas are ready.
• Oversee the condition and readiness of greenhouses, buildings, grounds, vehicles, tools, and nursery equipment.
• Develop and reinforce preventative maintenance routines; perform or assist with practical repairs within your skill level and coordinate outside service when needed.
• Identify bottlenecks, staffing concerns, equipment problems, and workflow issues early and take ownership of driving them toward resolution. What We're Looking For
• Experience managing people and day-to-day operations in a nursery/greenhouse, agriculture, manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, landscape, facilities, or another hands-on environment.
• Demonstrated ability to organize multiple employees, priorities, workflows, and deadlines.
• Practical mechanical aptitude and willingness to participate in basic facility and equipment troubleshooting; deeper maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
• Plant, horticulture, greenhouse, nursery, or agricultural knowledge is preferred, but strong operational leadership and the ability to learn are more important.
• Comfort working in a seasonal, fast-changing environment where weather, crop needs, order volume, deliveries, and equipment issues can change priorities.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, judgment, and follow-through.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements; DOT requirements may apply depending on driving responsibilities.
• Degree in horticulture, agriculture, operations, business, or a related field is helpful but not required; equivalent practical experience is valued. Physical & Working Requirements
• Work in greenhouse, nursery, warehouse, yard, and outdoor environments in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Walk and stand for extended periods and move throughout the nursery to supervise work and address operational needs.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn company systems used for scheduling, inventory, and recordkeeping.
• Lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs. and participate in hands-on operational or maintenance work when needed.
• Safely operate or work around vehicles, forklifts, nursery equipment, tools, and facility systems appropriate to the position.

$31.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
