Foreman, Landscape Hardscape Purnell Brothers Outdoors | Manchester, NH We're seeking a dynamic, experienced Foreman to lead outdoor construction projects focused on hardscape elements — patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other durable landscape features. You'll oversee skilled crews, coordinate with clients and team members, and drive high-quality projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, hands-on outdoor construction experience, and a genuine passion for building outdoor spaces that last. Duties Lead and supervise landscape hardscape projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to design specifications Manage crews (or solo jobs) by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, providing guidance, and maintaining high safety standards on-site Complete landscape renovations including plant tear-outs, bed edging, and installation of new mulch beds Install and maintain landscape lighting systems as part of overall project scope Operate and oversee equipment for hardscape and landscape installation, including irrigation and lighting systems Coordinate with suppliers and team members to schedule work phases and keep projects on track Conduct site inspections for quality control — grading, ground prep, and hardscape installation Operate a company vehicle (including trucks requiring air brake experience, under CDL weight) to transport materials and equipment between job sites Perform winter operations including snow plowing with truck-mounted plows and/or equipment Assist with lawn care, landscape maintenance, irrigation management, tree care, and general grounds upkeep as needed Skills & Qualifications Proven experience supervising hardscape/outdoor construction projects Strong knowledge of hardscapes, landscape renovations, and grounds management; horticulture and plant ID knowledge a plus Demonstrated leadership in crew supervision and team management Skilled and safe operation of skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws, drills, and irrigation tools Experience with irrigation installation and troubleshooting preferred; landscape lighting experience a plus Experience with snow plowing (truck or equipment-mounted) preferred Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and technical drawings Strong communication skills for working with clients, crew, and suppliers Hands-on experience with pavers, retaining walls, or natural stone installation Experience with plant tear-outs, bed prep, and mulch installation for landscape renovation projects Knowledge of jobsite safety protocols for outdoor construction Valid driver's license; experience with air brake-equipped trucks (non-CDL weight class) preferred Proactive, hands-on problem-solver with a passion for outdoor work What we offer End-of-season performance bonuses All major equipment and tools provided Referral bonuses for bringing in qualified crew Real opportunity for growth — join early and grow into a leadership role as we expand Why join us: Purnell Brothers Outdoors is growing fast, and this is your chance to lead meaningful projects and grow with us early.
