This is a senior-level, hands-on construction position for an experienced pool professional who can independently build and oversee residential swimming pool projects from layout and excavation through construction, finishing, and completion. The ideal candidate has strong experience across multiple phases of pool construction, including excavation, layout, steel/rebar, plumbing and hydraulics, equipment installation, concrete, coping, tile, decking, plaster/finishes, and job-site coordination. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the project, understands the trade, can solve problems in the field, and consistently delivers high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Lead and perform residential swimming pool construction and renovation projects from start to finish. Read and interpret pool construction plans, layouts, elevations, specifications, and measurements. Perform and oversee pool excavation, layout, grading, and site preparation. Install and inspect steel/rebar, plumbing, hydraulics, and pool circulation systems. Install and connect pool equipment and related components. Perform and oversee concrete, coping, tile, decking, plaster, and other pool finishing work. Operate construction equipment, machinery, and power tools safely and effectively. Coordinate daily job-site activities and help keep projects on schedule. Inspect work throughout each phase of construction to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards. Identify construction issues and develop practical solutions in the field. Coordinate with project managers, construction crews, subcontractors, vendors, and customers when required. Provide hands-on leadership and technical guidance to construction team members. Help train and mentor less-experienced employees. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Ensure tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles are properly maintained and secured. Follow company safety procedures and applicable construction requirements. Represent Chaikin Ultimate Pools professionally at all times. Qualifications 5+ years of professional pool construction experience preferred. Demonstrated experience building residential swimming pools from excavation through completion. Strong knowledge of pool construction methods, materials, and sequencing. Hands-on experience with several of the following: Excavation and site preparation Pool layout and elevations Steel/rebar Plumbing and hydraulics Pool equipment installation Concrete and structural work Coping and tile Decking Plaster and pool finishes Pool renovations and remodeling Ability to read and understand construction plans, layouts, elevations, and specifications. Experience operating construction equipment and power tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lead, support, and work effectively with a construction crew.
