A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

Job Description

The Role We're looking for a hands-on leader to run our maintenance crews day-to-day — someone who knows landscape maintenance inside and out, catches the small things before they become big problems, and keeps a crew organized, efficient, and safe on every property. This is a role for someone who takes ownership of their routes and treats every yard like it's the flagship account. What You'll Do Lead and supervise a maintenance crew across multiple properties/routes each day Plan and prioritize daily job sites for efficient scheduling and travel Perform and oversee mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, fertilization, irrigation checks, cleanups, and seasonal work Spot-check crew work for quality and consistency; catch issues before the client does Operate and maintain landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) and report equipment issues promptly Communicate professionally with clients on-site as needed Train, mentor, and hold crew members accountable to NBD's quality standards Maintain a safe work environment and ensure crew follows safety protocols Communicate job status, issues, and needs back to the office/management What We're Looking For Proven experience in landscape maintenance, with strong knowledge of horticultural and turf care best practices Sharp attention to detail — you notice what others miss Proactive mindset — you solve problems before you're asked to Strong leadership and crew management skills Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required to operate company vehicles/trailers) Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Experience with irrigation systems, hardscapes, or plant health a plus What We Offer Competitive pay, based on experience Steady, year-round work with a growing local company A team that values craftsmanship and takes pride in its work Opportunity for growth as NBD expands

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
