A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.
Steven R. Bassett Inc. is a GROWING full service landscape company. We have crews in landscape installation, landscape maintenance, lawn mowing, tree and landscape plant health care, lawn weed management and fertilization, tree and shrub pruning, annual and perennial plantings, weeding (both with and without herbicides), and general landscape installation and care. We also provide snow removal services to commercial and residential clients. You will be with like-minded people here at Bassett. For any foreman/supervisor position we ask for a minimum of 2 years of related experience. For a crew member we are looking for any experience. If you land somewhere in the middle, we are happy to have you as well and work out positioning based on experience and goals. Preferred is a Landscape 3.0 pesticide certification or willingness and ability to achieve it. A valid and insurable driver's license is required. Daily you will work with a team of professionals to maintain residential, commercial and condominium landscape beds. This includes but is not limited to: mulching (wood, stone, etc.), planting herbaceous and woody plants, hand weeding, spraying weeds, dividing perennials, pruning shrubs and small trees, deadheading herbaceous and woody plants, and generally cleaning up landscapes with miscellaneous odds and ends. Daily you will work with a team of professionals to install landscape materials on commercial and residential properties. This includes but is not limited to: flagstone/brick patios/walkways, dry natural stone or modular walls, plastic, metal and stone landscape edging, herbaceous and woody plants, trees up to 4inches in diameter, landscape lighting, and some other landscape items. There is a wide range of equipment available to use as well including: skid steer, mini skid, stump grinder, mini-excavator, tree auger, and more.
