Responsibilities Maintain and care for golf course greens, fairways, tees, and roughs using specialized turf management techniques. Operate groundskeeping equipment including mowers, aerators, chainsaws, power tools, and irrigation systems with a focus on safety and efficiency. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, and weed control to enhance the course's visual appeal. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of equipment or materials while adhering to proper safety protocols. Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety guidelines to protect turf health and prevent pest infestations. Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure all tools and machinery are in optimal working condition. Assist with general groundskeeping duties such as lawn care, gardening, and debris removal to keep the course pristine. Operate company vehicles responsibly when transporting equipment or supplies around the course or work site. Skills Proven experience with irrigation systems, athletic field groundskeeping, or golf course maintenance. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of pesticide management practices and lawn care techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely over extended periods. Strong understanding of grounds maintenance procedures specific to golf courses or sports fields. Familiarity with equipment maintenance routines to ensure longevity and performance of tools. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in landscape upkeep activities.
