Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our golf course maintenance team as an Entry-Level Greenskeeper. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining beautiful landscapes, and is willing to learn the skills needed to care for a championship-quality golf course. No previous golf course maintenance experience is required. We provide on the job training. Duties Perform irrigation system installation, inspection, repair, and ongoing maintenance to ensure optimal water distribution across greens, fairways and tee boxes. Maintain turf by mowing, aerating and trimming edges and bunkers. Operate ground maintenance equipment including lawn mowers, power tools, chainsaws, and other landscaping machinery with a focus on safety and efficiency. Utilize hand tools for planting, trimming, pruning, and general landscaping tasks to keep outdoor spaces healthy and visually appealing. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of soil, turf rolls, or landscaping materials while following proper safety protocols. Operate company vehicles for transportation of equipment and personnel between job sites. Maintain equipment through routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure longevity and performance. Follow power tool safety guidelines during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Experience Prior background in athletic field groundskeeping or golf course maintenance is advantageous. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, pruning, and pest control. Ability to operate groundkeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, power tools, and landscaping machinery confidently and safely. Experience handling manual labor tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling of landscaping materials. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or similar transport equipment preferred. Strong understanding of power tool safety procedures along with routine equipment maintenance skills. Working Conditions Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs. Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, or sharp objects. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
