Landscape Grounds Worker Forest Lawn Memorial Park Association - 3.6 Long Beach, CA Job Details Full-time $23 - $26 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Maintenance work High school diploma or GED Driver's License Facilities maintenance Full Job Description Our Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance tasks associated with the care of cemetery grounds and facilities. This position will work under direct supervision, individually, or as part of a team. Duties include grounds maintenance functions, such as using hand tools and operating equipment. What You'll Be Doing Perform general grounds clean-up and trash disposal. Clean and maintain storm drains. Repair lawn damage. Mow section and garden lawns. Trim memorial tablets. Replant landscapes. Apply landscape chemicals, such as fertilizers, wetting agents, and herbicides. Assist client families and other guests with grounds maintenance requests. Operate specialized equipment to move materials. Assist with completing interments. Assist with setup and cleanup before and after special events. Install tents for funeral services. Minimum of six months of experience in a maintenance position. Valid California Driver's License. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Caring and professional demeanor with a desire to assist families during a difficult time. Ability to work weekends and holidays. High school diploma or GED certificate. Ability to work on-site.
