The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of horse care, possess a passion for outdoor work and have experience in landscape maintenance practices. This role involves daily care and maintenance for the horses, as well as a variety of tasks around the compound such as landscaping and general maintenance of the facility. The ranch hand will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that all daily tasks and projects meet our high standards of quality. Cleaning and maintaining 3 horse stalls. Cleaning and maintaining horse paddock. Checking the horses hoofs daily. Cleaning and maintenance of the barn such as keeping the webs clear and pressure washing. Measuring and feeding the horses their designated amount of food. Assist in performing routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks. Assist in conducting groundskeeping duties to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of outdoor spaces. Assist in the installation and maintenance of hardscape features such as fencing, walkways, and retaining walls. Work with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications At least five years proven experience in ranch hand work or a related field dealing with the daily care and maintenance of horses is required. Proficient in using various hand tools and power tools relevant to landscaping work. Strong Attention to Detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions while maintaining physical stamina for manual labor tasks. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Self motivated.
