About the Role We're looking for a dependable, hands on Groundskeeper to join our maintenance team and help keep our apartment community looking clean, safe and well cared for. As a Groundskeeper, you'll play an important role in the day to day appearance and upkeep of the community. You'll work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to take care of everything from the grounds and common areas to amenities, trash areas and general maintenance needs. This is a great fit for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the details, enjoys staying active and likes knowing that their work makes a difference for residents every day. What You'll Do Keep the community grounds, entrances, sidewalks, hallways and common areas clean and free of trash and debris Pick up litter, cigarette butts, pet waste and other debris throughout the property Clean and maintain parking areas, dumpster areas, pool areas, tennis courts and other amenities Blow, sweep, rake, pressure wash and clean exterior areas as needed Remove trash and debris from apartments after move outs Empty and maintain community trash cans and keep garbage areas clean Help maintain pool areas, including cleaning, testing water and monitoring equipment as required Assist with general maintenance and repairs, including exterior painting, minor repairs, irrigation checks, A/C filters and coils, smoke detectors, and other tasks as assigned Monitor the property and report issues with buildings, roofs, siding, landscaping, equipment or common areas Properly operate and maintain equipment such as pressure washers, blowers, lawn equipment, tools and golf carts Keep the maintenance shop and work areas clean, organized and properly stocked Follow all safety procedures and properly handle cleaning products, chemicals and other materials Complete assigned work efficiently and respond to community needs with a sense of urgency Work as part of the maintenance team while also being comfortable working independently Help wherever needed to support the community, residents and team What We're Looking For Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic Someone who takes pride in keeping a property clean and looking its best Comfortable working outdoors and staying active throughout the day Able to follow instructions, prioritize tasks and work independently Strong attention to detail and a "see it, take care of it" mindset Professional and friendly when interacting with residents and coworkers Good communication and customer service skills Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and responding to urgent needs Good judgment, common sense and a team oriented attitude Previous groundskeeping, maintenance, landscaping, apartment or property experience is a plus Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to operate basic maintenance and groundskeeping equipment Physical Requirements This is an active, hands on position.

You should be comfortable:

Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing and reaching throughout the day Working outdoors in hot, cold and changing weather conditions Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. as needed Operating equipment such as blowers and pressure washers Performing repetitive physical tasks and remaining active for extended periods

Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
