Responsibilities Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and installing or repairing irrigation systems. Identify various plants, trees, and pests to ensure healthy growth and proper plant care; apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety guidelines when necessary. Conduct groundskeeping duties including snow plowing during winter months and maintaining pathways or hardscape features for safety and aesthetics. Follow all safety protocols rigorously while handling equipment and chemicals; report any hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately. Assist with landscape design projects or hardscape installations to enhance outdoor spaces' visual appeal. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including equipment maintenance logs and pesticide application reports. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge of power tools, lawn care equipment, irrigation systems, and groundskeeping machinery is essential. Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques such as mowing, tree trimming, gardening, and hardscape work. Knowledge of plant identification, pest management practices, and pesticide handling safety procedures. Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as needed.
