Job Description
Job Overview Seeking an experienced handyman and groundskeeper for daily execution of maintenance activities across a large apartment complex. This position will regularly require contact with community residents and requires professional communication skills. Responsibilities Work closely with Property Manager to address daily maintenance requests, maintain building grounds, and complete special projects to enhance property's curb appeal. Provide handyman services such as painting, fixture replacement & basic carpentry. Act as go-between for onsite contractors and property manager, assisting with interpreting technical issues, scoping job quotes, and troubleshooting. Assist in diagnosing and implementing maintenance repair procedures for mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other building infrastructure. Requirements 5 years of experience in on-site property maintenance in an apartment complex, condominium or office building strongly preferred. Excellent project management and communication skills. The ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and complying with OSHA safety standards. Ability to communicate fluently in English is required. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Technical certifications such as electrical, plumbing licenses, HVAC or general contracting licenses are highly desirable for consideration. However, the compensation is based on duties.
