Responsibilities Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and other power tools safely to cut grass, trim hedges, and perform general landscaping tasks Maintain athletic fields by ensuring even grass coverage, aerating soil, and managing turf health through irrigation and fertilization practices Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues with irrigation components Conduct landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, mulching, and gardening to enhance aesthetic appeal Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment, soil, plants, and debris to support groundskeeping activities Inspect and maintain groundskeeping equipment regularly to ensure safety and optimal performance Apply pesticides or herbicides following safety protocols when necessary for pest or weed control in golf courses or landscaped areas Qualifications Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, or athletic field care is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued Knowledge of irrigation systems, power tool safety procedures, and equipment maintenance techniques Ability to operate grounds maintenance machinery such as mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and company vehicles responsibly Familiarity with horticulture principles including lawn care, gardening practices, and landscaping techniques Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions Attention to safety standards related to power tools and pesticide management Strong work ethic with the ability to follow detailed instructions while working independently or as part of a team Embark on a fulfilling career maintaining beautiful outdoor environments!
