Duties Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, blowers, shovels, and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice from designated areas Assess weather conditions regularly to plan timely snow removal operations Apply de-icing materials safely and effectively to prevent ice buildup Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify hazardous icy patches or snow accumulation Maintain all groundskeeping and landscaping equipment in excellent working condition through proper care and safety protocol adherence Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents during outdoor winter operations Assist with basic landscape maintenance tasks as needed to support overall groundskeeping efforts Experience Previous outdoor work experience, especially in snow removal or grounds maintenance roles Knowledge of landscaping practices, including plant identification and basic horticulture principles Familiarity with groundskeeping equipment operation such as power tools, hand tools, and irrigation systems Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance of landscaping and groundskeeping machinery Experience with hardscape features and lawn care techniques is a plus Understanding of safety protocols specific to outdoor work environments during winter conditions Ability to work independently or as part of a team in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards
