Overview Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Lawn Care Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces. Duties Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to maintain lawns, gardens, and landscapes efficiently and safely Assist with planting, pruning, fertilizing, and watering plants to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers and hoses to ensure proper watering schedules Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, mulching, hardscape cleaning, and debris removal to keep outdoor areas pristine Follow safety protocols rigorously during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Identify various plants and pests to support horticultural health and assist with pesticide management when necessary Support the installation of new landscaping features such as pathways or garden beds while adhering to project specifications Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential Basic mechanical knowledge and experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, power tools, and irrigation systems Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, edging, pruning, and hardscape cleaning Ability to identify common plants and pests; understanding of horticulture principles is a plus Commitment to safety protocol adherence during all tasks involving hand tools or power equipment Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials as needed Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards of grounds care Embark on a fulfilling career path where your efforts directly enhance outdoor environments!
