Position Summary Acuity Total Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Tractor / Mower Operator to support grounds maintenance operations at Nellis Air Force Base. The primary responsibility of this position is operating a tractor with a pull-behind mower on the flight line and surrounding areas. The employee will also perform grounds maintenance activities and routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. Training is available for qualified candidates. This position requires the ability to work independently, operate equipment for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate a tractor with a pull-behind mower on the flight line and surrounding areas. Perform grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, weed trimming, and weed removal. Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, including greasing, blade sharpening, cleaning, and power washing. Safely operate equipment on uneven and bumpy terrain. Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor. Follow all applicable safety, security, and operational requirements. Assist other team members with grounds maintenance and other related duties as needed, which may require temporarily working outside of the employee's normal routine or primary assignment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Physical and Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and varying weather conditions. Ability to safely work on uneven and bumpy terrain. Ability to safely use the tools and equipment required for the position. Required Qualifications Ability to safely operate grounds maintenance equipment and follow established safety procedures. Ability to obtain and maintain required access to Nellis Air Force Base and applicable work areas. Ability to successfully complete applicable background and security screening requirements necessary for base and flight line access. Ability to meet all applicable federal installation security and access requirements. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience operating tractors, mowers, or similar grounds maintenance equipment. Previous landscape or grounds maintenance experience. Experience operating manual transmission equipment. Previous experience working on a military installation or in another secure or regulated environment. Additional Information This position requires access to Nellis Air Force Base and restricted work areas. Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining all credentials, clearances, and installation access required for the position. The employee may periodically be reassigned from their normal duties to assist other team members with grounds maintenance and related work based on operational needs.
