Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Gardener and bring outdoor spaces to life with vibrant plantings, lush lawns, and beautifully maintained landscapes. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, cultivating, and sustaining stunning gardens and green areas that inspire and delight. Your expertise will help transform outdoor environments into thriving, sustainable ecosystems that enhance the beauty and functionality of any property. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your horticultural skills, and contribute to inspiring landscape projects. Duties Prepare soil beds, plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery using hand tools and power tools to ensure healthy growth. Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to keep turf healthy and attractive. Install and manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules for diverse plantings. Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, trimming, mulching, and pest management to promote plant health. Operate greenhouse equipment for propagation and nurturing young plants before transplanting into outdoor spaces. Assist with farming activities including crop rotation, soil enrichment, and sustainable growing practices. Use gardening expertise to design or assist in landscape layouts that optimize space and aesthetic appeal. Skills Strong knowledge of horticulture principles including planting, pruning, fertilization, pest control, and soil management. Experience with irrigation systems installation and maintenance. Familiarity with greenhouse operations and growing techniques for various plants. Hands-on experience with lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and aerators. Ability to operate hand tools (shovels, rakes) as well as power tools safely and efficiently. Understanding of landscape maintenance practices including mowing schedules, edging techniques, mulching methods, and seasonal planting cycles. Knowledge of farming practices related to sustainable agriculture and crop cultivation.
