Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Groundskeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will support the maintenance and beautification of our campus grounds, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure healthy turf and plant growth Perform groundskeeping tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, and planting to maintain attractive lawns and gardens Operate landscaping equipment such as power tools, chainsaws, lawnmowers, and hedge trimmers safely and effectively Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of soil, mulch, equipment, and other materials Support athletic field groundskeeping activities to prepare fields for sports events and practices May help manage pesticide application following safety protocols to control pests while protecting the environment May assist with helping maintain equipment through routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation Qualifications Prior experience in irrigation systems operation or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required Knowledge of horticulture principles and gardening techniques beneficial for plant care and landscape design Ability to operate ground maintenance equipment safely with a focus on power tool safety standards Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or grounds maintenance equipment preferred Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to groundskeeping and landscaping Join us in creating an inspiring environment where students can thrive!
