In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through expert lawn care, landscape maintenance, and plant care. Your enthusiasm for working outdoors, combined with technical skills and a passion for horticulture, will help create beautiful, healthy environments for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your landscaping expertise while contributing to the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to ensure lawns and landscapes are well-manicured and healthy. Maintain and operate various hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as trimmers, blowers, and excavators. Identify different plant species and assess their health, providing appropriate care or treatment as needed. Manage landscape features including hardscape elements like pathways, patios, and retaining walls to ensure structural integrity and visual appeal. Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to promote plant health while adhering to environmental regulations. Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules for diverse landscapes. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or tree trimming to support year-round landscape maintenance efforts. Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping machinery and hand tools. Strong background in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields. Ability to identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests accurately. Knowledge of pesticide management practices and safety procedures. Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is preferred. Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred; ability to operate equipment such as excavators is advantageous.
