Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth and vibrant appearance. Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers and timers to ensure proper watering schedules. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to provide appropriate care or recommend enhancements for landscape health. Apply pesticides or herbicides following safety protocols to control pests and weeds effectively without harming the environment. Conduct groundskeeping duties such as snow plowing during winter months or seasonal clean-up to keep outdoor areas accessible and attractive all year. Follow strict safety procedures when operating machinery or handling chemicals to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or horticulture is highly preferred. Knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant identification, and hardscape installation is advantageous. Familiarity with irrigation systems, pesticide management, and the operation of groundskeeping equipment including power tools is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to lawn care equipment and troubleshooting machinery issues will set you apart.
