This position will begin primarily with general pest-control services, with the opportunity to receive additional training and advance into a Termite Technician role after demonstrating proficiency in pest control, customer service, safety, and company procedures. As a technician, you will provide residential and commercial pest-control services throughout the Valley. You will inspect properties, identify pest activity, apply products according to label directions, maintain accurate service records, and help customers understand how to prevent future pest problems. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, helping customers, and working outdoors. Previous pest-control experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate. We are willing to provide training to someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in the pest-control and termite industry. Responsibilities Perform recurring and initial pest-control services at residential and commercial properties. Inspect structures and surrounding areas for signs of insects, spiders, scorpions, rodents, and other pest activity. Identify pest-conducive conditions and recommend appropriate treatment or prevention methods. Apply pesticides, baits, dusts, granules, and other pest-control products safely and according to product labels, company procedures, and applicable regulations. Remove spider webs and accessible egg sacs from eaves, entryways, corners, and other areas during applicable services. Address customer concerns and explain completed treatments, safety precautions, and prevention recommendations. Maintain accurate service records, chemical-use records, customer notes, and documentation. Safely operate a company vehicle and keep assigned equipment, tools, and service materials clean and organized. Use ladders, hand tools, power equipment, backpack sprayers, compressed-air sprayers, and other pest-control equipment. Follow all company safety procedures, pesticide-label requirements, and personal protective equipment requirements. Communicate with the office regarding scheduling issues, customer concerns, follow-up services, and conditions requiring additional attention. Participate in ongoing training and obtain any required pest-control certifications or licenses. After completing the necessary training, assist with termite inspections, termite treatments, bait-station services, and other termite-related work. Represent Convenient Termite & Pest Control professionally through appearance, communication, workmanship, and customer service. Termite Technician Career Path This position is intended for someone who wants to grow beyond general pest control. After demonstrating reliability, safe product handling, strong customer service, and proficiency with general pest-control services, the technician will begin training in termite work.

Termite training may include:

Identifying evidence of subterranean termite activity. Performing termite inspections and documenting findings. Installing and inspecting termite baiting systems. Completing liquid termite treatments. Trenching, rodding, drilling, and treating around structures. Using construction and power tools safely. Reading treatment diagrams, labels, and property plans. Preparing treatment documentation and customer recommendations. Learning applicable termite-treatment standards and reporting requirements. Advancement into termite work will be based on performance, experience, licensing or certification requirements, and the technician's ability to consistently follow company procedures. Qualifications Pest-control experience is preferred but not required. Experience in construction, maintenance, landscaping, route service, or another outdoor trade is helpful. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to manage a daily service route. Comfortable working independently while remaining in communication with the office and management. Willingness to learn pest identification, pesticide safety, treatment methods, and termite-control procedures. Ability to read and follow pesticide labels, written instructions, service notes, and safety procedures. Comfortable using hand tools, ladders, sprayers, drills, and other service equipment. Ability to use a smartphone or tablet to review schedules and complete service documentation. Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle. Acceptable driving record for company insurance purposes. Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain required pest-control licensing or certification. Professional appearance and respectful attitude when working in and around customers' homes and businesses. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in Arizona weather conditions, including extreme heat. Ability to walk, bend, kneel, crawl, reach, climb ladders, and work around the exterior and interior of structures. Ability to safely lift and carry pest-control equipment, product containers, ladders, and other materials. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including gloves, eye protection, respirators, and protective clothing when required. Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, garages, utility areas, and other restricted or uncomfortable spaces when properly trained and equipped. Ability to perform physical termite-treatment work, including trenching, drilling, and operating power equipment, after completing the required training.
