A Pest Control Technician controls problems with unwanted animals and insects in residences, commercial buildings and the areas around them. Inspects buildings, identifies pests and determines pest control treatment. Provides applications of chemical pesticides and sets traps or bait. Makes minor building repairs as needed to keep pests out.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Perform pest control treatments at residential and commercial properties
  • Inspect premises to identify pest infestations and determine appropriate treatment methods
  • Use hand tools and power tools to apply pesticides and other pest control products
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions
  • Educate customers on pest prevention techniques and recommend appropriate measures
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided and complete necessary paperwork
  • Drive company vehicle to various locations to perform pest control services
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective pest control operations
Requirements:
  • Pest Control applicator or Field Rep license required
  • Previous experience in pest control or related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of farm, landscape, or lawn care practices is a plus
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery is beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
