Saint James, NY Job Details Full-time $28 - $36 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Paid training Fuel card Company truck Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Opportunities for advancement Referral program Qualifications Outdoor work experience Field service Company vehicle operation Driver's License Pest control chemical handling Full Job Description Licensed Pest Control Technician — Prowl Pest Co. (St. James, NY) Most technician jobs are a seat on a truck at a company that was built before you got there. This is the opposite of that. Prowl Pest Co. is a founder-led outdoor pest control company serving Suffolk County. We're building something with real scale in mind — not a two-truck operation content to stay a two-truck operation. We're hiring our first field technician, and we're looking for the person who becomes the lead tech when there are ten trucks on the road. What that means for you The first technician at a growing company doesn't stay the first technician. You'll help set the standard the next hires are trained to. You'll have direct access to the owners every day — no regional manager, no corporate script, no ticket system to get an answer. When we add routes, add services, and add crews, the person who was here from the start is the person who runs them. We're not going to oversell it: it's real work, outdoors, in the heat, at people's homes. But you'll be doing it for a company where your effort actually compounds into something. What we're looking for NYSDEC Commercial Applicator or Technician certification — Category 7A and/or 7B strongly preferred, 3A a plus Not certified yet? We'll register you as an apprentice applicator under our certified applicator and pay for your training and exams. Field experience still required. Valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions Professional with homeowners. At the door, you are the company. Someone who shows up. We're small enough that one person not showing is a bad day for everyone. What we offer $28-$36/hour depending on certification and experience Health insurance including dental and vision 401(k) Paid time off Company truck and gas card Paid licensing, training, and continuing education A ground-floor seat at a company that intends to get much bigger If you're licensed, tired of being a route number, and want the upside of being early — apply. We'll walk you through exactly what the day looks like in person. Prowl Pest Co. is an equal opportunity employer. We hunt what hunts you.
