The Foreman will oversee the tree crew at job sites, coordinate equipment and work activities, communicate with customers when needed, and perform hands-on tree work. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the tree crew on residential and commercial job sites. Review the scope of work and ensure the crew understands the day's objectives. Perform and oversee tree trimming, removals, pruning, storm cleanup, and related tree-care work. Safely operate and supervise the use of chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, aerial lifts, skid steers, loaders, and other tree-care equipment. Direct ground operations and assist with safe tree rigging, lowering, and removal procedures. Identify potential hazards and establish safe work zones before beginning work. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety procedures and accepted professional tree-care practices. Inspect equipment and ensure trucks, trailers, tools, and machinery are properly maintained and ready for use. Communicate with customers professionally regarding the work being performed and any changes or concerns that arise. Ensure job sites are properly cleaned and left in a professional condition. Complete daily job documentation, including materials, equipment use, work completed, and any issues encountered. Train and develop less-experienced crew members in proper tree-care techniques and safety procedures. Maintain productivity and help ensure jobs are completed within the expected timeframe. Operate commercial vehicles and company equipment as required. Assist with emergency storm response and after-hours work when needed. Represent KC Tree Works LLC professionally at all times. Qualifications Previous experience in professional tree care is required. Previous crew leadership or foreman experience preferred. Strong knowledge of tree trimming, removals, rigging, and chainsaw operations. Ability to safely operate tree-care equipment. Ability to read and understand job scopes and work independently. Strong communication and leadership skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Ability to obtain or maintain any required driving privileges. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights. Must be dependable, safety-minded, and willing to take responsibility for the crew and job site. The Foreman is responsible for making sure the crew works efficiently while protecting people, property, equipment, and the trees being serviced.

Pay:

$25.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
