Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Climber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care, with experience in tree trimming and removals. As a Tree Climber, you will be responsible for safely climbing trees to prune, remove, and/or install support systems etc. Driving to and from job sites in company vehicles, maintaining chainsaws, grinding stumps and more. Owner is an I.S.A. Board Certified Master Arborist and encourages others to further their knowledge as well. Duties Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and appearance of trees. Utilize climbing techniques and equipment, including ropes and harnesses to access tree canopies safely. Operate bucket trucks and other rigging equipment as necessary for higher branches or difficult-to-reach areas. Conduct thorough inspections of trees to identify signs of disease or pest infestations. Implement appropriate tree care practices (ANSI A300) based on the specific needs of each tree species and client. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks, including planting, hedging, and general cleanup. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Experience Previous experience in tree care, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of horticultural practices related to plant maintenance and tree growth is beneficial. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety standards. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads as required during tasks.
