- BWBR is seeking a healthcare architect with demonstrated experience to lead the design, coordination and delivery of complex healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural design and technical execution for healthcare projects, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, medical offices, and specialty care facilities. Behavioral health experience a plus
- Lead client meetings, presentations and design reviews and respond to feedback to ensure the design progression according to the project schedule. Ensure requirements are communicated to the full project team
- Collaborate with BWBR's internal team as well as external consultants on all aspects of the building design
- Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific codes and standards
- Prepare documents and perform Quality Assurance reviews of project documentation at major project milestones
- Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to a collaborative and productive environment
- Participate in marketing or other activities as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed Architect in the State of Minnesota preferred
- 10+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated experience with medical projects
- Proficient in Revit for all phases of design and documentation
- Strong understanding of planning and design plus technical building requirements
- Solid knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and life-safety requirements
- Excellent listening, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and work effectively in a team-based environment
- Experience with other markets such as higher education, science and technology, or government facilities a plus
- Familiarity with sustainability strategies, high-performance building design, or LEED projects
