PSD is excited to announce our search for a Senior Project Architect
  • the next leader within our architectural design team.
The Senior Project Architect is responsible for working with clients through programming and schematic design, overseeing the development of design concepts through construction documents, and staying involved throughout the construction process through construction administration. The Senior Architect may also assist firm Principals in engaging with prospective clients and participate in other business development functions. Job Responsibilities Developing client and consultant relationships. Participating in business development by engaging with prospective clients. Quality and complete communications with clients and consultants during all phases of work. Primary point of accountability for design of architectural projects as assigned. Understands character and needs of clients and manages expectations. Assists in client selection process and helps to complete on schedule. Provide leadership and experienced guidance to the architectural team. Meet design goals within agreed upon architectural budgets and schedules and construction budgets and schedules. Fully understands contractual obligations in design. Available for occasional weekend meetings. Reviews job sites periodically to determine if execution is consistent with contract documents. Reports lack of consistency to Construction Project Directors and Architectural Project Managers promptly. B. Arch, M. Arch, or equivalent degree; Architectural Licensure; Minimum 10 years of applicable design experience; Experience with various design programs including CAD and Revit. Interest in traditional shingle-style vernacular architecture Able to self-motivate and work well under deadlines; while demonstrating strong commitment to quality; Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to manage client relationships; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment; Competitive base salary range
