Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable TXAPA Level 1B Technician to join our quality control team. The successful candidate will perform laboratory and field testing on asphalt materials in accordance with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and Texas Asphalt Pavement Association (TXAPA) standards to ensure the highest quality products and compliance with project specifications. Responsibilities Perform asphalt mixture sampling and testing in accordance with TXAPA and TxDOT procedures. Conduct quality control testing on hot mix asphalt. Maintain accurate test records and documentation. Communicate test results with production and paving crews. Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Assist with troubleshooting production quality issues when needed. Qualifications Current TXAPA Level 1B Certification (required). Knowledge of TxDOT testing procedures and specifications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work outdoors and flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
