Brick Mason Glenwood Cemetery Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $18 - $22 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 403(b) Life insurance Tools provided Qualifications Outdoor work experience Concrete work Attention to detail Construction experience Full Job Description Brick Mason Glenwood Cemetery | Houston, TX Position Summary Glenwood Cemetery is seeking a skilled and dependable Brick Mason to perform masonry construction, repair, restoration, and maintenance throughout the cemetery. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, has strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of caring for historic structures, monuments, gravesites, and cemetery property. Key Responsibilities Construct, repair, rebuild, and maintain brick, stone, block, and concrete walls, walkways, steps, curbs, foundations, and other masonry features. Measure, cut, shape, align, level, and properly fit masonry materials. Assist with preservation and restoration of historic masonry structures and features. Safely operate masonry hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, mixers, and related equipment. Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and a clean, organized work area. Follow all safety procedures and take care to protect cemetery property. Qualifications Previous experience in masonry, bricklaying, stonework, concrete, construction, or restoration. Knowledge of basic masonry materials, tools, and techniques. Ability to accurately measure, align, level, and grade work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and safety-conscious. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment up to 80 pounds . Ability to safely work around dust, cement, mortar, concrete, machinery, vehicles, ladders, and scaffolding. Work Schedule Monday-Friday | 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Seasonal or operational needs may occasionally require schedule variations. Employees are expected to treat cemetery families, visitors, coworkers, and contractors with professionalism and respect while properly caring for Glenwood Cemetery property and equipment. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
