Job Description
PPS is looking for a Joiner Foreman in Mobile, AL Long term work with a sought after work enviroment.
Brief Summary:
Directs the activities of a group or team of production employees involved in a specific production, repair or material handling process in order to meet Company quality and safety standards within production schedules, in the most cost-effective manner. Supervises craft hourly employees. This position works under the supervision of the Superintendent on the repair of vessels utilizing different types of equipment, etc. necessary to perform and complete projects as directed.
Essential job duties include:
Communicates with Operations Manager, Superintendent, and craftsman to perform project requirements as necessary. Must have leadership and supervisory capabilities Must be able to read and understand job information, letters/booklets, blueprints, drawings, load-out drawings, job procedures, etc. Must be able to install all types of marine joiner panels and ceilings. Must have general knowledge of all equipment and tools necessary to perform the duties. Must be able to supervise and communicate directly to all personnel of being performed on the job. Must be able to motivate and guide personnel in a safe performance on the job Must be able to read all blueprints for the project Must be able to keep a supply inventory of materials, parts, and equipment sufficient for all project operations Must be able to detect and supervise the correction of safety hazards in the workplace Must be all procedures and certifications updated and on file Must be able to read, understand, and fill out forms and necessary paperwork Must have some computer knowledge. Attends/participates in safety meetings and assist in generating Job Safety Analysis (JSA's), and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's) guidelines for all job operations. Performs work as a crew member where each is dependent upon others for safe operations and emergency evacuation. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Hours:
Normal Hours - Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime and weekend work as needed.
•Temporary Summer Hours Monday through Friday , 5:00 - 3:30, with overtime and weekend work as needed.
Pay Rate:
