Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work for multimillion dollar custom residential projects. Your expertise will help bring construction plans to life, contributing to the successful completion of diverse building and remodeling projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your hands-on skills in a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount. Duties Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Perform framing, door hanging, siding installation, flooring, trim carpentry, and fixture installation with precision. Operate woodworking machines safely to shape and finish wood components for various projects. Conduct restoration work including plastering, stucco application, rebar installation, mold remediation, and renovation tasks. Ensure adherence to power tool safety protocols during all operations to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with construction estimating by providing accurate measurements and material requirements for project planning. Handle heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction site work while maintaining proper safety practices. Support site cleanup, organization of materials, and preparation of construction sites for ongoing work or inspections. Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings to interpret project specifications accurately. Extensive experience with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and wood construction materials. Strong background in residential carpentry including framing, door hanging, siding, flooring installation, and fixture mounting. Knowledge of woodworking machines and their safe operation to produce precise cuts and finishes. Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and resource allocation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety standards such as power tool safety protocols. Experience in restoration industry tasks such as plastering, stucco application, mold remediation, and rebar installation. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of projects. Hands-on experience with caulking, siding installation, remodeling projects, handyman tasks, assembly work, and door hanging.
