Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Finish Carpenter/Installer to join our dynamic construction team. This role is vital in transforming building plans into beautifully finished spaces, ensuring every detail meets high standards of quality and craftsmanship. As a Finish Carpenter/Installer, you will work on residential projects, focusing on precise installation, finishing touches, and restoration work that elevates the overall aesthetic and functionality of each space. Your expertise will help create inviting, polished environments that clients will love. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Install trim, molding, doors, windows, siding, flooring, and other woodwork with precision using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Perform framing, plastering, stucco application, rebar installation, and drywall finishing to prepare surfaces for final finishes. Handle fixture installation including cabinetry, hardware, mold remediation components, and other custom features. Conduct heavy lifting and assembly of wood construction materials while adhering to safety protocols for power tool safety and proper handling techniques. Ensure all work complies with construction plans, building codes, and safety standards; maintain a clean and organized work site. Assist in restoration projects by performing siding repairs, door hanging, mold remediation tasks, and remodeling activities as needed. Skills Strong ability to read blueprints and construction plans accurately. Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, levels; experience with power tools for woodworking including drills and sanders. Extensive construction experience with residential carpentry including framing, trim carpentry, flooring installation, and fixture mounting. Knowledge of woodworking machines and woodworking techniques to produce high-quality finishes. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings related to construction projects. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety practices for power tools and heavy lifting. Ability to perform caulking, rebar installation, stucco application, siding work, door hanging, and remodeling tasks efficiently. Background in the restoration industry or handyman services is a plus; capable of handling mold remediation or reinstallation projects as required.
