In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures on various construction projects. Your expertise in blueprint reading, formwork construction, and concrete finishing will ensure the successful completion of high-quality concrete elements. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine formwork requirements and specifications. Construct and assemble formwork using hand tools, power tools, and metal stud framing techniques to shape concrete structures accurately. Install rebar reinforcement within formwork according to engineering specifications to ensure structural integrity. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy machinery safely to facilitate concrete pouring and placement. Perform concrete cutting, finishing, and sealing tasks such as caulking, stucco application, and plastering to achieve desired surface quality. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with heavy lifting, material handling, and site cleanup to support efficient project progress. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools, power equipment, and concrete machinery. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate formwork construction. Experience with rebar installation, concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and pumping processes. Knowledge of construction estimating practices for material needs and project planning. Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, as well as power tools like drills and saws. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures on active construction sites.
