Job Description

Shop/ Production worker For 18 years Northern Log Supply has specialized in manufacturing wood products direct to homeowners, contractors or wholesale companies bringing the forest to the customers' project. Northern Log Supply is in immediate need of shop help to support our dynamic team in day to day production. This individual should be excited about a fast-paced environment and the ability to grow into their role taking on additional responsibilities over time. Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented laborer with hands-on woodworking experience to join our shop team. In this role, you will assist with the fabrication, detailed assembly, and final finishing of custom wood products. The ideal candidate possesses strong fundamental tool skills, an eye for quality craftsmanship, and a safety-first mindset. Key Responsibilities Operate stationary and portable woodworking machinery safely (table saws, miter saws, routers, planers, sanders). Perform finish carpentry tasks, including precise measuring, cutting, edge-banding, and custom joinery assembly. Prepare wood surfaces by scraping, filling, and progressive sanding to ensure flawless finish readiness. Apply various wood finishes, including stains, sealers, oils, and clear topcoats via spray, brush, or wipe techniques. Read and interpret basic shop drawings, cut lists, and project specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment; assist with heavy lifting and material handling. equired
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1-3 years of proven experience in woodworking, carpentry, or cabinet making.
Tool Proficiency:
Confident with hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.
Finishing Knowledge:
Prior experience preparing wood and applying stains or protective topcoats.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long shifts, and bend/reach comfortably. Attention to

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
