Log Home Repair & Restoration Workers Needed - Carpenters, Apprentices, Laborers
•Earn up to $90,000+ per year
•Company Background American Log Restoration is the leader in log replacement and structural work on log homes. We have over 45 years of experience in the industry and have developed many of the common log replacement techniques used today. We approach all projects both big and small with the same care and attention to detail as if we were working on our own homes. Our customers get professional, quality artisanship in an efficient time frame. Why Work for Us? We are looking for the right person to join our growing team. Are you self-motivated ? Do you take pride in your work ? This craft is truly an art form and can give great satisfaction at the end of the day. We are looking for someone with basic carpentry skills as well as someone comfortable using a chainsaw on a regular basis. Interested in traveling? Our jobs take us to places all over Michigan, the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeastern United States for 5-12 days at a time. Travel expenses are paid for and a per diem for food is allotted to each worker. A Day in the Life of Log Replacement Pro Our log replacement pros complete between 1-3 jobs per week depending on size and complexity. We work on a variety of log homes, from 200-year-old hand-hewn cabins to 10-year-old milled log homes. Jobs can range from replacing 1 log to replacing 1000 lineal feet of log on a single home. Our workers generally travel for 5-14 days at a time all over Michigan, the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast United States. Our log replacement professionals have the opportunity to create high-quality results and work with their hands in a variety of locations . If you are interested in getting out of the daily routine , this is the job for you! The Ideal Candidate will Have 2 years experience in log replacement and chinking/caulking log homes (not required) Basic carpentry skills. Comfortable using a chainsaw as the main tool of the trade Possess a great attitude, have pride in your workmanship, be willing to learn Possess excellent customer service skills and respect the customer's property Be willing to travel for 5-10 days at a time with ample time off between Be self-motivated, honest, and reliable Have a valid Michigan Chauffeurs Driver's License and transportation to/from the shop in Twin Lake, MI. Have a DOT Medical card Have experience driving a pickup truck with a trailer Be safety-minded in all that you do.
