Whitefish, MT 59937 About the Position We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Carpenter to join our construction team in Whitefish. This position is ideal for an experienced carpenter who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands framing and construction, and is ready to take a leadership role in the field. The Lead Carpenter will perform hands-on carpentry and framing work while helping direct the daily activities of the crew, coordinating materials, maintaining quality standards, and supporting apprentices and less-experienced carpenters. Responsibilities Lead and perform hands-on framing and carpentry work on construction sites Help direct daily crew activities and keep projects moving on schedule Coordinate materials, wall panels, hardware, tools, and equipment needed for the crew Ensure materials are properly staged and ready for installation Read and understand construction plans and specifications Maintain high standards for workmanship, accuracy, and quality Train, mentor, and assist apprentices and less-experienced carpenters Coordinate with the Superintendent regarding work sequence, schedule, and installation Follow framing inspection and field quality-control standards Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area Identify potential issues and help find practical solutions in the field Ensure carpentry and framing work is completed efficiently and correctly Qualifications Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction Strong framing and carpentry skills Ability to read and understand construction plans Experience leading or directing a crew preferred Knowledge of construction materials, wall panels, hardware, and installation methods Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently while also working effectively with a crew Dependable, professional, and safety-minded Ability and willingness to train and mentor less-experienced workers What We Offer $30
