Job Description

Job Summary The Carpenter works on residential, multi-family and commercial projects, performing a variety of tasks including framing, installation of structural and finish components, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Duties
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans to meet specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials using hand and power tools.
  • Construct and install structures and fixtures, such as walls, flooring, windows, doors, stairs, and cabinetry.
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry work on residential homes, multi-family buildings and commercial properties.
  • Install framing components, roof trusses, sheathing, siding, and trim.
  • Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
  • Adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Inspect and repair damaged framework or structures when necessary.
  • Apply lean principles to continuously improve work processes, eliminate waste, and maintain a clean, efficient work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional carpentry experience in residential and commercial construction.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Strong understanding of building plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to jobsites, as needed.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus.

From $33.00 per hour
