We are looking for someone who has strong field experience, takes pride in their work, and can complete carpentry tasks safely, efficiently, and with a high level of quality. This position is best for someone who is comfortable working on active construction sites, can work independently when needed, and understands the importance of schedule, communication, jobsite safety, and clean workmanship. Our projects include residential and commercial construction, renovations, repairs, and general building work throughout the Rochester area. The right candidate will be dependable, organized, and able to work well with project leads, other carpenters, subcontractors, and clients. Responsibilities Perform rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and general construction work Frame walls, install blocking, install doors and windows, set cabinets, install trim, siding, hardware, and other building materials Read and follow plans, sketches, field measurements, layouts, and direction from project leads Complete assigned work accurately, safely, and within the project schedule Measure, cut, fasten, assemble, and install materials using hand tools and power tools Identify field issues and communicate them before they create delays or rework Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Coordinate with other team members and trades working in the same area Protect finished surfaces and occupied spaces when working in active buildings Help guide apprentices or less experienced workers when needed Follow company standards for quality, safety, communication, and professionalism Required Qualifications Prior carpentry experience in the field Ability to complete carpentry tasks with limited supervision Valid driver's license Reliable transportation to job sites in the Rochester area Own basic hand tools and power tools Ability to read a tape measure accurately Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment safely Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliability Ability to lift materials, work outside, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience with framing, trim, doors, windows, siding, cabinets, drywall, blocking, remodeling, or general building repairs Ability to read basic construction drawings OSHA 10 certification Experience working in residential and commercial construction Experience working in occupied buildings or active renovation spaces Ability to help train or mentor apprentice-level workers Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry construction materials Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work with tools throughout the day Ability to work indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions Ability to work safely around equipment, materials, and active construction areas What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who shows up on time, works hard, takes direction well, and can be trusted to complete work correctly.
