Job Description
$30-$33 per hour Fairport, NY Contract
- Duration: 06 months with possible extension
- Responsibilities:

Documentation Creation:
- Develop and improve work instructions, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and job aids. +
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and operations gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation. +
- Research:
- Investigate and analyze technical information from various sources to create comprehensive documentation that meets user needs. +
- Editing and Proofreading:
- Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to company style guidelines. +
- Basic Project Management:
- Manage documentation projects, including planning, scheduling, and tracking progress to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Required Skills
- + 3+ years of technical writing experience + Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams).
PTC Windchill system experience is a plus.
+ Ability to understand technical processes being documented. Optics knowledge is a plus.
+ Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
+ Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all documentation produced.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, adapting to changing project requirements and deadlines.
- Education:
- + Bachelor's degree in English, communication, technical writing, engineering, or science fields.
