Senior Commercial Finish Carpenter and Apprentice Location:
Northeast Ohio Pay Rate:
$25.00 - $40.00 / hour (DOE)

Full-Time (W-2) About the Role We are seeking an elite, detail-oriented Commercial Finish Carpenter who takes pride in precision, craftsman-level execution. If your core strength is fine detail, high-end hardware, and clean build-outs—rather than speed-framing—this is the position for you. You will be working primarily in occupied healthcare and high-end commercial facilities where craftsmanship, technology, and professionalism intersect.
Core Responsibilities Doors, Frames & Hardware:
Flawless installation of hollow metal/wood doors, welded frames, panic devices, closers, electronic access hardware, and continuous hinges.
Architectural Finish Work:
High-end trim, architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, wall protection, and specialized panel systems.
Specialized Installs:
Precision placement of toilet partitions, commercial accessories, and fire-rated assemblies.
ICRA & Containment:
Working within ICRA containment zones and adhering strictly to healthcare environment protocols.
Tech & Specs:
Reading complex commercial blueprints, submittals, and utilizing digital field management apps/tablets for plans and progress tracking.
Experience & Non-Negotiable Qualifications Reliability & Punctuality:
Must be exceptionally prompt and dependable. Punctuality is critical for managing tight facility schedules and shift handoffs.
Senior Carpenter:
5+ years of commercial finish carpentry experience required for top-tier rate.
Apprentice Level:
3 to 4 years of experience with strong fundamental finish skills considered. Standout Credentials (A+ Qualifications): ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) training/experience (Big Plus) Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (Big Plus) Aerial/Scissor Lift Operator certification (Big Plus)
Technical Savvy & Communication:
Ability to navigate digital blueprints/apps on a tablet or phone. Professional communication skills for internal reporting to company superiors and facility department managers.
Flexibility:
Must be willing to work off-hours, night shifts, or weekends as dictated by healthcare facility operational schedules.
Compliance:
Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen (required for healthcare facility access). Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Tools & Transport:
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a complete set of hand/power tools of the trade.
Workplace Standards, Dress Code & Physical Demands Appearance & Uniform:
Must maintain a clean appearance adhering to OSHA safety standards. Company-provided shirts must be worn at all times during work hours on the job site.
Professional Demeanor:
Zero tolerance for swearing or loud, disruptive behavior in patient-adjacent areas.
PPE:
Must adhere to all OSHA safety rules. We provide hard hats, safety glasses, and high-vis equipment; candidates must supply their own standard safety footwear (steel/composite toe).
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for long shifts, and work safely off ladders and scaffolding.
