The Blatt Group is a family-owned Full-Service General Contractor who has been serving Berks County and beyond for over 35 years! The Blatt Group is currently seeking a Carpenter to bring their skills and passion to their dynamic team! Build, assemble, and repair structures using wood, concrete, wallboard, plastics, and steel. Essential Job Functions to include but not limited to: Follow safety rules and regulations in order to maintain a safe and clean worksite. Comply with company policies and objectives. Utilize company vehicles for the transportation of personnel and materials as needed. Evaluate project requirements. Perform various carpentry tasks including selective demolition when required. Maintain accurate records and provide progress reports as necessary. Perform tasks safely at various heights and possibly in confined spaces.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in the use of both hand and power tools. Experience with operating motor vehicles and heavy equipment. Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently and/or as part of the team.

Education and Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent post secondary education. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as driving is an essential function of this position. Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Tool Requirements:

Must be able to supply and maintain a standard set of carpentry tools.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, climbing, and bending.

Hours and Working Conditions:

Day shift hours with occasional overtime as needed based on projects. Work environments vary from indoor to outdoor

Compensation:

Starting pay rates will range from $25-$32 per hour depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits package available, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, short and long term disability, paid time off, paid holidays and 401K retirement plan with employer matching.
