Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter/Laborer to join our team, specializing in high-end custom home construction. This role involves working on residential projects that require precision, quality craftsmanship, and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be versatile, able to perform a variety of tasks, and committed to safety and excellence. You will work closely with others to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a focus on thoroughness and craftsmanship. Duties Operate power tools for woodworking, trim carpentry, framing, and other construction tasks Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution Perform residential carpentry tasks including exterior trim, siding, interior trim, hanging doors, and screen porches Build decks using Brazilian hardwood and stainless cable railing systems Assist with demolition, trash cleanup, and site preparation Use equipment such as dump trucks, mini excavators, and perform tasks like French drains and waterproofing block foundations Install dryer vents, bath exhaust vents, and other ventilation components Work on green building initiatives by applying sustainable construction practices Collaborate effectively with team members, listen carefully to instructions, and perform tasks as directed Ensure power tool safety protocols are followed at all times Requirements Experience with power tools used in woodworking and carpentry projects Ability to read blueprints accurately for various construction tasks Prior experience in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and residential construction preferred Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Knowledge of safety procedures related to power tools and construction sites Ability to work well with others in a team environment Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks that may vary from job to job including demo work, site cleanup, or specialized installations A positive attitude with kindness, thoroughness, and a willingness to learn new skills This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-end residential projects while honing your craftsmanship skills in a collaborative environment committed to quality and safety.
